Basecamp 3.0 arrived in Big Bear with a bang! Over 300 vehicles showed up at Holcomb Ranch to get dirty, party, run trails, and talk shop. When we saw all the rigs rolling out of Tahoe from Basecamp 2.0 a few months back, we knew we couldn’t miss this one. With the fresh heaping of snow that pounded the Big Bear mountains, we took the opportunity to hit some off-road trails for a before-and-after ride test with our friend Eric’s new Jeep Wrangler JL. Gold Mountain trail was the first destination to crawl some aggressive obstacles, and then on to 3N16, the famous easy-going trail that runs through the length of Big Bear. Eric's 2019 Wrangler JL is equipped with a Metal Cloak 3.5” lift kit, sitting on their proprietary Rock Sport twin-tube shocks.
