How much lift do I need to level the Ranger?

‘19+ Rangers come from the factory with a lot of rake. This is when the rear end of the truck sits much higher than the front of the vehicle. This is done by most SUV and truck manufacturers for load capacity. The newer Ranger comes with one of the most dramatic rakes on a modern vehicle, that almost resembles an old school dragster, then a pickup truck. 19+ Rangers typically need 2” to 2-1/2” of lift to level the truck. This will give you a leveled stance, but the truck may sag when carrying heavier loads of towing.


How big of tires can I fit with a lift?

19+ Rangers 4x4 come with approximately a 30” standard with an option for a close to 31” tire from the factory. It is possible to fit a 33” tire with a 2-1/2” lift on Rangers. We do recommend doing an aftermarket Upper Control Arm at this height to protect the suspension geometry.


Do I need to upgrade the UCA?

Upgrading the Upper Control Arm is not just recommended for better suspension geometry over 2” of lift but can also offer great benefits. Upgrading your UCA to an adjustable upper control arm allows additional adjustment for Caster and/or Camber in options like the SPC, Icon, and Canburg UCA. This can help alleviate alignment issues and additional clearance issues for bigger tires.


Should I do a Spring Spacer or Adjustable Strut?

Spring Spacers are a good inexpensive way to lift your truck, but not always the right choice. A Spring Spacer will allow to suspension to overextend and cause additional wear on Ball Joints, and CV’s. An Adjustable strut will give you a nicer ride, and more usable travel across the cycling as well as protect your Ball joints and CV joints. Higher lifts will benefit even more with the upgrade to a new UCA.


Will leveling my tuck give me a rough ride?

Leveling your Ranger may give you a better ride! With a high rake and no weight on the rear end of the Ranger, it becomes for floaty at times. Raising the nose by leveling the truck, puts more weight over the rear axle of the truck and gives the truck more balance. Upgrading the rear shocks will improve this feeling even more.


Do I need to get an alignment after a lilt?

Whenever doing any suspension modifications, it is always recommended to get an alignment on the front of your truck. If you find the alignment is out of factory specs when lifting, we recommend getting an adjustable upper control arm like the SPC to help alleviate the issue.


Are there any extended travel options available?

Eibach, Fox, Icon, King, and Old Man Emu all offer lifts of an impressive 3” or more for the ‘19+ Ranger. All of these require a new upper control arm but will correct suspension geometry and durability for added reliability.


What options are available for lifting the rear or hauling heavy loads and towing?

Icon and Deaver offer upgraded leaf packs for the 2019+ Ranger. These can give lift and additional load capacity. Eibach also offers a simple 1” lift block for trucks that don’t need additional load capacity.
