Eibach Sportline Lowering Springs 30K Mile Review

In February of 2019 one of our crew members snagged a new Honda Civic Sport hatchback in a 6 speed manual. Six weeks later it was lowered on Eibach Sportline lowering springs. Priorities. Three years and 30 thousand miles later and we’re still sporting an ear to ear grin every time we take it for a ride. Eibach Sportline Install Overall the difficulty level for a spring install is intermediate. Installation on suspension components can be daunting if you’ve never done it but it isn’t exactly the most complicated process either. The most attention and care must be taken when...

Bilstein 5100s Upgrade the Toyota Tacoma

Bilstein is one of the most well known brands of shocks out there. You can find Bilstein's shocks on Baja race vehicles to trucks fresh off the assembly line with off road packages, so when Thura called in and let us know what he uses his new Tacoma for, we already had Bilstein in mind. How do you ride? Thura is a new firefighter working in the San Bernardino National Forest. His driving style includes fire road explorations to and from new campsites and driving up and down the mountain road to his home in Los Angeles. Some of the...

Power Wagon Carli Update

The Power Wagon got some new legs. The Carli Suspension Commuter kit was installed and taken immediately to the dirt. Fox shocks are one of the main components to this kit which establishes superior handling on a heavy duty vehicle like this. Immediate differences were noticed both in every day driver comfort, along with off-road performance on some of our favorite trails. Carli’s kits are known for their amazing capability, starting with their unique spring rates that match up to specifically tuned Fox and King shocks to match. Suspension capability improves as the shock systems advance; the standard Fox 2.0...

Bilstein 6112 install on a 2020 Ram 1500

We continue to preach how strut spacers just aren’t going to cut it for any kind of performance gains. When you put a strut spacer on top of the shock tower in order to gain some additional height in order to clear larger tires, you’re directly impacting the factory strut in more than 1 way. The spacer will cause the factory shock tower to be pre-drooped, which eliminates downtravel of the suspension equal to the spacer’s physical height. And the factory struts and shocks aren’t valved to handle a 25-50% increase in unsprung weight due to larger wheels and tires,...

Bilstein 6112 60mm Install on a 2019 Ranger

The new 2019+ Rangers have some incredible punch! Fun to whip around, especially with that Ford Performance 50hp boost available to all the 2.4L engines out of the gate. If there’s one thing to be desired, its the suspension system in the dirt. The stock shocks just cant take any reasonable off-road obstacles at more than 20mph without bucking the truck in the front or rear. Need more damping! The Bilstein 6112 put a 2.6” shock within reach of more budgets, giving great adjustable front ride height on a beefy enough shock that can take tough off-road terrain much faster...
